Joe At Morro Rock

Everything on the Central Coast is expensive. I will say that the chiropractor only charged me $40 cash for my visit today, which is a pretty good deal.
Anyway, we drove along the waterfront and found ourselves at Morro Bay State Park. There's a golf course and camping within walking distance of the beach. At the entrance to the campground, we spoke to the camp host working the entrance kiosk. She told us that they have partial hookups in a pull thru site for $50 a night, max 10 day stay. It looked like a campground and not like an RV resort. It would be a great place to be in a little bit better bicycle shape and ride through the park and the waterfront. $350 for a week is pretty steep, but it is the Central Coast and you get what you pay for. I don't know if we'll be out this way next winter, but it gives Marie and I something to think about.
I figured out that postcards are cheaper at Rite Aid than along the waterfront. Remember, we're retirees on a fixed income.
It was the same thing at Hearst Castle. The postcards at the visitor center were over twice as much as in the town of San Simeon. We bought cards at a little tourist gift shop and the grandma who ran the place was real happy to sell us stuff.
